Figure Skating at the Androscoggin Skating Club
2019/2020 September – March
This program follows the Learn to Skate USA curriculums and is suitable for skaters who have passed Basic Skills Level 3. It includes more progressive skating skills from the US Figure Skating curriculum to give more advanced skaters the challenges they crave.
Each Free Skate level is comprised of a variety of progressive skating skills, transitions, spins and jumps — all of which build on the previous skill, providing skaters a strong foundation of all elements. These levels will be taught in a positive and interactive environment helping to bridge skaters from Learn to Skate into Figure Skating. Instructors will focus on quality and mastery of skills.
While Figure Skating is an individual sport, this program will include private as well as group lessons. Figure skating teaches discipline and athleticism as well as grace and artistic expression
